The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation connects Americans with their wilderness heritage by providing access to and stewardship of one of the world’s most spectacular places –Montana’s Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. We help hundreds of hard-working volunteers, including youth, develop a land ethic and give back to the wilderness by opening trails, restoring heavily used areas, maintaining historic structures and fighting weeds. We also have a robust internship program that cultivates the next generation of outdoor professionals, and we host a rare and innovative Packer Apprentice Program to keep this diminishing trade alive.

We operate within the 1.5 million acre BMWComplex and serve the region, state, nation, and world by providing stewardship to this cherished area of the crown of the continent ecosystem.
