About Florence Crittenton Home & Services

To provide innovative, comprehensive services and nurturing  programs that empower young, pregnant women and parenting families to thrive and build productive lives.

Impact

FCHS is the only licensed maternity group home in the Northwest, and provides services to families in crisis, including pregnant and parenting mothers, ages 12-21, and their children. We focus on parents struggling with barriers to providing care to their babies, such as their own trauma/abuse and neglect. The unique nature of FCHS draws clients from Wyoming, Washington, and states outside the NW. Our community-based programs currently serve clients in Lewis & Clark and Jefferson Counties.

Project / Needs

Florence Crittenton consistently fundraises for general operating support. General operating support is utilized to offset the many costs associated with operating a 24 hour intensive therapeutic facility as well as community based programs. This may include utilities, nutritional expenses, or building maintenance. Funds are utilized for transportation to get a mother to and from school or appointments, for the purchase of diapers and clothing, and to provide basic necessities that mothers and babies need. They are used to cover the cost of class facilitation, and assist us in covering the gaps that we have in our funding. These funds are imperative in securing Florence Crittenton’s capability to continue to provide opportunities for a young family to succeed.

Other Fundraising

We consistently work with community organizations and individuals in our fundraising efforts.  Our annual Fundraising event, Paint the Town Pink engages the Helena community and supports our organizational operating costs.  We diligently apply for funding through granting organizations as well.
